Even though it's always 72 degrees and sunny in beautiful Los Angeles, we're still excited about summer and all that June brings. This month, several exciting projects that Sessions has been lucky to work on will be hitting the big and small screens, and we can't wait to check them out.

Here's what's got us hyped for June:

Hustle

Hustle

Release date: June 8, 2022

How to watch: Netflix

Why to watch: "Do you love this game?" Adam Sandler in dramatic mode is never not interesting (the man was robbed of his Oscar nomination for Uncut Gems). In Hustle, Sandler gets to showcase his dramatic chops and love for basketball as a struggling scout for the Philadelphia 76ers. Co-produced by LeBron James and co-starring all-star talent including Queen Latifah and Ben Foster, expect numerous cameos from NBA players.

Queer as Folk

Queer as Folk

Release date: June 9, 2022

How to watch: Peacock

Why to watch: In celebration of LGBTQ+ Pride Month comes the new reboot of groundbreaking British series Queer as Folk. Series showrunner Stephen Dunn explained the importance of QaF to Variety: “Like most queer ‘90s kids, I had a unique relationship with the original ‘Queer as Folk.’ Growing up, I was desperate for any sort of connection with people like me. It was the first time I really felt seen. The show offered a new paradigm — one where we could accept and celebrate queer love, families, and communities on a global stage.” The reboot promises to be more diverse and even more prescient than the original, capturing the zeitgeist of today's expansive queer community.

First Kill

First Kill

Release date: June 10, 2022

How to watch: Netflix

Why to watch: All you have to know about this highly anticipated queer supernatural series is that creator V.E. Schwab described First Kill as Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Killing Eve. Invoking those two iconic, empowering shows should be enough to whet appetites. Starring Imani Lewis and Sarah Catherine Hook as the two star-crossed lovers, this vampire-falls-in-love-with-vampire-hunter show is tailor made to generate serious fandom. Get your fanfic ready.

Cha Cha Real Smooth

Cha Cha Real Smooth

Release date: June 17, 2022

How to watch: Limited theaters and AppleTV+

Why to watch: Writer, producer, director and star Cooper Raiff's second feature film scooped up this year's coveted Sundance Audience Award along with a jaw-dropping $15mm distribution deal from AppleTV+. Hoping to recreate the charm and magic of last year's Sundance (and subsequently Oscar-winning) hit CODA, Cha Cha Real Smooth co-stars Dakota Johnson, Leslie Mann and Brad Garrett and is guaranteed to have at least one scene of a wedding party doing the Cha Cha Slide. Take it back now y'all.
