Valentine's Day is tomorrow (!) and if you didn't already make restaurant reservations, you'll need to improvise for a special night home (and pretend that was the plan all along). Don't worry, we know the day snuck up on you so we've got the perfect romantic night for you planned. Grab a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates and settle in for an evening home watching one (or all) of these four recent romantic films perfect for Valentine's Day, all from the #SessionsFamily vault.

Somebody I Used To Know (Prime Video)

Somebody I Used To Know (Prime Video)

Maybe it’s recency bias, but Somebody I Used To Know is a wonderful new addition to the romantic comedy genre. Co-written by adorable married actors Dave Franco and Alison Brie (#CoupleGoals), the film hit Prime Video last Friday. With Franco behind the camera in his second directing effort, Brie co-stars alongside Jay Ellis and Keirsey Clemons. The trio radiate charm and it's hard not to root for all three of them to succeed. The film pays homage to My Best Friend's Wedding, with a character even mentioning the classic Julia Roberts romcom (and another #SessionsFamily film). But make no mistake, this is no cheap imitation, and Somebody I Used To Know charts its own path about following your heart and finding love on your terms.

I Want You Back (Prime Video)

I Want You Back (Prime Video)

Released by Prime Video in 2022, I Want You Back features a ridiculously attractive core cast of Charlie Day, Jenny Slate, Gina Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood and Manny Jacinto. The entire cast are effortlessly charming in this enjoyable romantic comedy about two spurned exes (Day and Slate) who team up to break up their former partners' new relationships. While the plot hits some familiar beats, Day and Slate keep the story fresh with their natural, easygoing chemistry, softening their usual comedic edges to reveal the heartbreak behind the humor.

Begin Again (The Weinstein Company)

Begin Again (The Weinstein Company)

If you swooned over John Carney's directorial debut, Once (which won an Academy Award and spawned a Broadway musical), you'll absolutely love Begin Again, his theatrical followup to the beloved Irish hit. Instead of casting non-actors as he did in Once, Carney cast two Hollywood acting heavyweights in Mark Ruffalo and Keira Knightley to play his leads, along with multitalented Hailee Steinfeld and actual musician Adam Levine of Maroon 5. Like Once, Begin Again is inspired by A Star is Born and showcases the power of music to heal a broken heart. This is a movie that wears its heart on its sleeve; it was previously titled Can A Song Save Your Life? The film is available to stream on Netflix.

Purple Hearts (Netflix)

Purple Hearts (Netflix)

This low-budget romance (under $3mm) was Netflix's surprise hit of 2022. Upon release, Purple Hearts knocked the far bigger budgeted Ryan Gosling vehicle The Gray Man out of the top spot and was ultimately Netflix's third most watched movie of 2022, all without a star cast or big budget. The opposites attract weepie is based on a book by Tess Wakefield and relies on the simmering chemistry of lead actors Sofia Carson and Nicholas Galitzine. You'll have to watch it to see why it was Netflix's biggest sleeper hit of 2022, and possibly of the streamer's entire history.
