Perry makes his directorial debut, joining fellow former stunt coordinators David Leitch (The Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw) and Chad Stahelski (John Wick 3) in transitioning to the director's chair. Expect stellar action sequences, some well-timed Jamie Foxx quips, and bonus Snoop Dogg.

How to watch: AMC/AMC+; Comic-Con trailer

Why to watch: AMC's flagship The Walking Dead series is ending, but the spinoffs are still coming faster than a zombie outbreak. Tales of the Walking Dead breaks the mold with an anthology format and a very interesting, curious cast made up of comedy veterans (Parker Posey! The hilarious Jillian Bell!) and dramatic actors (Anthony Edwards, Samantha Morton with hair). Early reviews have been positive, with Collider calling it the franchise's weirdest series yet. The buzz from last month's Comic-Con has also got us excited to see what the venerable TWD universe has cooked up.

Me Time

Me Time

Release date: August 26, 2022

How to watch: Netflix; trailer

Why to watch: Stay-at-home dad Kevin Hart just wants a little "me time" while his wife (played by the always brilliant Regina Hall) and kids are away for one weekend. It just so happens to be the same weekend as bad influence Mark Wahlberg's birthday, and shenanigans are going to be had. From writer/director John Hamburg, whose previous films were Along Came Polly and I Love You, Man, Me Time looks to be the perfect way to end the summer.
